Football Focus DC was founded by Becky and Dominic Ponting with a simple belief: every child deserves the opportunity to feel part of something.

For us, football has always been about so much more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about togetherness, friendships, confidence and community. We started Football Focus DC because we wanted children to have the opportunity to experience that feeling of belonging – to feel part of a team, part of a community and part of the game.

As Football Focus DC has grown, that belief has remained at the heart of everything we do.

We have carefully selected a team of coaches who share our values and understand what we want Football Focus DC to represent. Of course, developing players is a huge part of what we do, but being a great coach is about more than teaching football. Our coaches create positive, supportive environments where children can be themselves, build confidence, make friendships and develop a genuine love for the game.

We recognise that every child is different and that development doesn’t look the same for everyone. Whether a player is taking their first steps in football or looking to push themselves further, we want to understand where they are in their journey, challenge them appropriately and help them progress.

Above all, we want children to love coming to Football Focus DC. We want them to feel welcome, valued and part of something.

Today, our Football Focus community continues to grow, with Development Centres in Abingdon and Faringdon, alongside Football Focus Minis, 1-to-1 Training and Holiday Camps in Abingdon.

As we grow, our purpose remains the same:
