Football Focus DC in Abingdon

At Football Focus, we’re proud to provide a range of high-quality football opportunities for players of all ages and abilities in Abingdon. Our Development Centre takes place every Wednesday at Tilsley Park, offering players the chance to develop their technical skills in a fun and challenging environment. For our youngest footballers, Football Focus Mini’s runs every Wednesday at Hadland Road Community Centre, introducing children to the game through engaging, age-appropriate sessions. During the school holidays, we host exciting Football Holiday Camps at Saxton Rovers FC, packed with football, games, and activities. We also offer 1-to-1 coaching sessions in Abingdon, providing personalised training tailored to each player’s individual goals and development needs.

Development Centre

Our Development Centre sessions are designed to help young players improve their technical ability, confidence, decision-making, and overall understanding of the game in a fun and positive environment.
Football Focus DC delivers structured, age appropriate training sessions designed to support player development at every stage. We ensure every player progresses in a positive and supportive environment.

Our programme is priced at £9 per session with payments collected on a monthly basis.

We offer new players 50% off their first 4 sessions, meaning each session is just £4.50 each - the perfect opportunity to experience our coaching environment and see if its the right fit.
We also offer a sibling discount.

We believe in keeping things simple and flexible for families, so there are no contracts or long-term commitments required to continue with us.

Our Abingdon Development Centre is based at Tilsley Park, Dunmore Road, Abingdon, OX14 1PU.

From 5pm-6pm we welcome our younger groups-

4-7 year old girls only,
4-6 year old boys/mixed,
6-8 year old boys/mixed.

Between 6pm-7pm we then have-

7-10 year old girls only,
8-10 year old boys/mixed,
8-11 year old goal keepers.

Our final sessions of the evening 7pm- 8pm are-

10-12 year old girls only,
10-12 year old boys/mixed,
12-14 year old girls only,
12-13 year old boys/mixed.

Football Focus Mini’s

Football Focus Mini’s is the perfect introduction to football for 2 and 3 year olds. Our fun and engaging sessions are designed to help little ones build confidence, develop coordination and learn basic football skills in a relaxed and positive environment. Through exciting games, activities and plenty of time with the ball, children can develop their movement, balance and social skills while having lots of fun. Our focus at this age is all about creating a positive first experience of football and helping every child develop a love for being active and playing the game.

Coming soon to Hadland Road Community Centre, Abingdon (OX14 3HY) every Wednesday at 1pm.

1-to-1 Coaching

Our 1-to-1 coaching sessions are designed for players who want personalised support to accelerate their development and take their game to the next level. Whether focusing on technical ability, confidence, ball mastery, game understanding, movement or position-specific development, each session is tailored to the individual players needs and goals.

With dedicated coaching and individual attention, our sessions provide the perfect environment for players of all ages and abilities to improve at their own pace in a focused, challenging and supportive setting.

Holiday Camps

At Football Focus DC, our Holiday camps provide children aged 4-12 with the perfect opportunity to stay active, develop their football skills, and have fun during the school holidays. Our camps are designed to create a positive and engaging environment where players can improve their technical ability, build confidence, develop game awareness, make new friends, and enjoy a variety of football-based activities. whether your child is new to football or already loves the game, our sessions are focused on learning, development, and enjoyment while helping every player grow both on and off the pitch. At Football Focus DC we believe in helping young players develop through our philosophy - Stay Focused.
