Opportunities

Football Coaches
Lead individual and group training sessions while helping athletes improve technique, game awareness, and confidence.

Strength and Conditioning Trainers

Assistant Coach

Football Focus DC – Abingdon Centre

Overview

Football Focus DC is seeking a passionate and reliable Assistant Coach to support the delivery of high-quality football training sessions. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about player development and wants to grow within a professional training environment.

You will work alongside lead coaches to help deliver sessions, support athletes, and contribute to a positive and structured learning experience for all players.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support lead coaches during individual and group training

  • Help create a positive, energetic, and disciplined training environment

  • Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to players

  • Set up and manage training equipment before and after sessions

  • Ensure sessions run smoothly, safely, and on schedule

  • Build positive relationships with players and parents

Requirements

  • Strong passion for football and player development

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work with youth players of varying ages and abilities

  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior coaches

Desirable (not essential):

  • Previous coaching or playing experience

  • FA Coaching Qualifications (or working towards them)

  • First Aid or Safeguarding certification
