Assistant Coach
Football Focus DC – Abingdon Centre
Overview
Football Focus DC is seeking a passionate and reliable Assistant Coach to support the delivery of high-quality football training sessions. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about player development and wants to grow within a professional training environment.
You will work alongside lead coaches to help deliver sessions, support athletes, and contribute to a positive and structured learning experience for all players.
Key Responsibilities
Support lead coaches during individual and group training
Help create a positive, energetic, and disciplined training environment
Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to players
Set up and manage training equipment before and after sessions
Ensure sessions run smoothly, safely, and on schedule
Build positive relationships with players and parents
Requirements
Strong passion for football and player development
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with youth players of varying ages and abilities
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior coaches
Desirable (not essential):
Previous coaching or playing experience
FA Coaching Qualifications (or working towards them)
First Aid or Safeguarding certification
